The studio is equipped with all the essential ingredients for pottery: kilns, pottery wheels, a wide variety of glasings, pottery tools, stoneware clay…and a good sense of humor. The starting potter fears most the moment when his/her beautifully thrown pot collapses….remember it is only mud! In the Ceramics Studio, Niki will be working herself on her own pottery most weekends. Starting in 2014 she has Open Atelier days to which you are welcome to come to and get a taste for ceramics. During the Open Atelier you can learn how to throw a pot, hand-build your own style pottery, read about pottery techniques or learn the basics about glazing. You can also fire and glaze one of your pieces to completion.
No matter what your level is, we’ll be there to show you the steps from a hump of clay to a shiny pot, vase, plate, bowl (…or?) which you can give away proudly as a gift or keep yourself for many years to come…
If you find out after an Open Atelier day that you want to further improve your skills, you can register for a Ceramics Course. We can together develop a course program that focuses on the skills you want to develop. If you are a professional potter and are looking for a space to work, or if you are a teacher which is looking for a fun activity for your class:
I am open to suggestions on how to make most of the studio!

450 SEK/full oven – medium kiln (150 liter)
700 SEK/full oven – large kiln (250 liter)
